Details: Rave Motion Picture Theaters, Dallas, TX hired Contractors Mechanical to construct HVAC, sheet metal, domestic water, and
sanitary and underground piping systems for the 14-screen 3,000-seat theater and IMAX theater complex in downtown Kalamazoo. With building
acoustical performance essential, added insulation was part of the solution to controlling mechanical systems noise and vibration. Located inside
a parking structure with vehicles driving and parking directly above the theater, Contractors Mechanical also borrowed a page from their earthquake-resistant
experience on projects in California, providing some “give” to some mechanical
systems components to help mitigate vibration noise. |
