Contractors Mechanical: Named One of West Michigan's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For

Contractors Mechanical is a 2007 Award Winner of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For. The award presented by the Michigan Business & Professional Association recognizes the top 101 employers in the region who create organizational value and business results through their policies and best practices in human resource management.

“We’re honored to receive this recognition and believe it reflects the programs and initiatives we’ve put into practice that empower talent, encourage personal growth, and make our workplace experience among the most satisfying and rewarding,” said Mark Dobbins, President of Contractors Mechanical. “We’ve made a serious commitment to promote these values at our company. What’s particularly gratifying is that the “real judges” in this competition are employees. It’s nice to know our employees can see, feel, and appreciate our efforts.”

The 101 Best and Brightest Companies award judges randomly select potential respondents and anonymously gather candid, confidential input from employees about their employers, programs, and practices. A judging panel uses those survey results in their scoring formula to determine the winners.

“We select talented people and provide the support, resources, training, and opportunity to apply their talents. We follow a Servant Leadership model that directs our management’s energy towards whatever is necessary to allow individuals to maximize the use of their talents,” says Dobbins. “Having the right people, programs, and practices is what we call our “talent-driven difference.” It’s a difference that has earned us the opportunity to do award-winning work and earn the confidence and respect of our clients.”

The 2007 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For Award adds to a list of recent recognition awards Contractors Mechanical has garnered, including an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Construction Award of Excellence for Plumbing and an ABC STEP Platinum Award for our Safety Program.
