Plan Review, Bidding, and Submittals Process

Some mechanical contractors bid projects exactly as they see them—and so do we. The difference is, we often see opportunities to value engineer to save you money, look for omissions, identify potential construction issues, and avoid excessive change orders and costly budget and schedule overruns—without compromising the integrity of the project. We all know it’s cheaper to make changes on paper than on the jobsite—so we provide bids with those objectives in mind—and stand behind the integrity of our work. That’s why many architects, construction managers and contractors, and building owners invite us into the process early to consult in the pre-construction phase. Our design-build and design-assist capabilities, along with our formal, professional plan review process we call PROview™, allow us to micro-view plans. We look for the unexpected, like site anomalies or local and regional code variations. Ultimately, it means a more thorough, accurate, and honest bid. It’s known that some contractors make their margins on change orders. At Contractors Mechanical, we earn our living avoiding them.
